I woke up yesterday morning thinking about getting older. Not sure why, so on that topic, I thought I’d make the following observations.

1. Sleep. First off, I woke up at 5AM. Who does that?! Morning people. I’ve never been one of those and don’t plan to start. Old people. I probably just went to bed too early last night. So …not yet
2. Greying. I had an aunt that said getting grey hair is one of the few things about getting older that doesn’t hurt. But she also started greying in her 20’s, so what did she know. But I look at my grey hair not as getting older, but highlights I no longer have to pay for. So…not yet
3. Activity. I just got back from Boston and New York City. 25000 steps a day. I kept up. And everyone needs a power nap, right? So…not yet.
4. Memory. I haven’t lost my keys for a couple of days now. So…not yet.
5. Memory #2. I’ve been organizing old pictures of my parents, Kevin’s parents, and mine. I can remember names of people I went to grade school with as though it was yesterday. Wait, don’t older people tell stories from their youth but can’t remember a week before. I played golf last week. I play golf every week so maybe that’s not a good example of remembering☺ So…not yet.
6. Health. I pulled a hamstring recently, but I was walking on lava rock. My fingers are a little stiff, but I grip a golf club everyday. My legs are also stiff, but I’ve started “running” again. So…not yet.
7. Children/Grandchildren. My kids are the same age I was when I had them. Hey that doesn’t make me old, that just means they’re getting older, right? Grandchildren????? So…not yet.
