inauguration

I watched the inauguration of our 45th president today and made the following observations:

The main event started at 12 noon. Did you know that it is one hour earlier in the central time zone. Might have slipped my mind:)

It was raining in Washington D.C just like here. When is the sun coming out? I have some golf to play!

I went to Washington D.C. a year or so ago and there was scaffolding everywhere. Looks like it’s all gone. Time for a road trip!

What’s the deal with women and 3 and 4 inch heels? I love shoes but…
And ties seem to have a brighter hue. I guess I need to go get Kevin some new ones…purple of course, though blue seemed to be really popular.

How many cell phone picture were taken in D.C today? How many people will print out any picture they took? Just wondering. I’m trying to organize 30000 picture I have. Might just be on my mind.

Why is an inauguration ball called a ball? It looks like a concert to me. The word “ball” derives from the Latin word ballare, meaning “to dance”. I haven’t seen anyone dance yet. But if that’s the case, then tomorrow when I play golf with my golf ball I guess I’d better be dancing!

Oh you thought these would be political observations! Ha ha, not from me, besides half of you would agree with me and the other half wouldn’t. I guess this day did get me thinking so I looked to a favorite for words of wisdom:

“Think left and think right and think low and think high.
Oh, the thinks you can think up if only you try!

Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
nothing is going to get better. It’s not.” Dr. Seuss.
