football

I watched a lot of football on tv this weekend and made the following observations:

Football players get really excited about just doing their job. Throw, run, catch, or kick the ball or help or stop someone from doing all those things…that’s about it. But they do it all with flair, with emphasis, with posturing, with dance, and with excitement. Maybe the rest of the world should do that in their jobs! I’ll use my family as examples of what to do.

At the end of a college lecture the college professor should not just say class dismissed or see you Wednesday but run up and down the aisle and high five every student. Or throw a pencil into the roof of your classroom when a student makes an awesome comment because of what you said! Do it with flare!

The architect should celebrate each line drawn on the computer. Spin that chair in excitement. The wall is drawn to perfection…stand up and dance.

The tv executive shouldn’t just watch tv but should pace with excitement on every word. When good ratings appear, the celebrations should be group planned.

When I hit post on this message just imagine my reaction. It will be wild.

I hope you can take your everyday jobs and turn them into football celebrations, not just for the big stuff, but in just the routine. Have a fun day!
