even in China…observations:

commercialism is alive and well.

the weather can be 70 degrees one day, though we haven’t seen that yet, and 38 the next. We have experienced that!

street vendors can be kind of pushy.

in a group of 40 people, someone will get lost at least once.

the roofs of houses in a neighborhood all look alike. Even if the roof was built in 1600.

gmail, Facebook, Instagram, and sprint seem to work just fine, at least for us.

daughters and mothers, mothers and sons, families, couples, dear old friends, new friends, young and not so young can have great fun traveling together.

flowers on trees are very pretty.

when on vacation, people will buy souvenirs that they really don’t need, like panda bear hats or wire dragons or jade bracelets or pearl earrings. Not saying who might have purchased some of those items.

the anticipation of what will happen next while on vacation is always a thrill.
