Toilets and Texas, not what I thought I would think of when coming to China. But here’s my observations:

Why toilets? For such a modern country their indoor plumbing has not yet caught up. Trough in the ground which is odd. Squat rather than sit. You’re learning more than you wanted, I know. But that’s not the worst part. There is no toilet paper! What do they do??? (I carry my own:)

Kids with no diapers or seeing them peeing in the street grates is also really strange. We’re talking big cities here!

Why Texas? Well we all know all things are bigger in Texas. Don’t mess with Texas. That statement seems to hold true for the people of China as well. All things are bigger and better in China. Bigger cities. Taller buildings. Better history than anyone else. Everything is great! Or so they say.

My trip actually has been fun. Two more days, well one and a flight. We’ll see what adventures tomorrow brings.
