fly fishing, waterfalls, and hemingway

Observations from a trip to Idaho while sitting by a stream as my husband is “fly fishing”… after many tangled lines, one broken pole, one new pole, some new flies, and so far zero fish.  (EDIT- HE DID HAVE SOME BITES):

I could be sitting on the same log as Hemingway once did while writing a novel.  I’m sure this post will be just as profound.

It’s cold in Idaho in June!

I brought too many shoes on this week long trip (8).   I wore them all but still.

I needed more shoes on this trip!  Water proof hiking shoes were needed.

There was an abundance of pretty waterfalls, sunsets, and wildflowers. We probably have those in Kansas too.  hmmmmm

Getting together with friends while traveling is always fun. It makes exploring a new city super easy.   Getting our two unmarried kids together,  not as easy.  Thanks Paula.

I’ve become a fan of Cliff Bars.

Golf is fun wherever you play. Thanks Jimmy.

I like to sleep to fan noise, though I could get used to this gentle stream sound, but I think only for a couple of days…right now I’m yearning for a city with an art museum. I guess I’m more of a city girl.

Idaho, I’ll be back.
