Travelogue observations: London, New York City, Chicago
Travel companions: Me and my 2 daughters. Siblings…you know those movies and tv shows where sisters are best buddies, who see each other everyday or at least call nightly, share secrets, borrow each other’s clothes…well that is not my girls. These 2 are exact opposites who share nothing in common, well except me, a love of travel, and it seems, an affection for really bad Disney movies…perhaps more on that later. Simpatico we were not, but I think we all had fun anyway and that’s all that matters. I know I did!
Travel prep: Carry on suitcase for a two week trip, check. Clothes all went in and the bag zipped, check. Not bad for an over packer! Until…I used half a stain stick on a pasta stain from food on the airplane. I used the other half of the stain stick on numerous items of clothing when I thought a container of liquid makeup was hairspray. That stuff really flew. Note to self, bring travel laundry soap. Or better yet, just bring the bigger bag, bring more clothes, and check the bag. Additional note; try to stay clean at least through day 1.
No pictures of these disasters, thank goodness!
Typical family vacation: Trip is planned for every minute of every day. Visit a City app is great for the over planners like me.
Travel crowds: 3 major cities in 14 days…we were not the only ones traveling. London was full of people. If you go to the popular tourist attractions, read those secret blogs-that everyone reads, what else should you expect.
Travel slide show: I remember my parents would go on a trip and when they would return home they would actually have a party with their friends to share the pictures of their trip. Photos turned into slides which went into a tray in the projector and soon everyone was asleep. Well at least I was…why didn’t I get to go? I usually make a book. Probably the same thing in a different era.

Back to the Disney movie. I don’t even remember what it was, but it was terrible! They both liked it. Go figure!
