coronavirus

Dear family and friends
or is it
To our family and friends
of the 100’s of notices we have received from businesses I didn’t even know we did business with, it is either -Dear or To our-
The health and well-being of our family and friends is our top priority.  We are actively monitoring updates regarding the Caronavirus or is it COVID-19, have you noticed they changed the name.  The president has his own name for it but I’ll leave politics out of this blog…for now.  We have at least one TV on at all times.  We might be watching Hallmark or something on Netflix or Disney+.  I’ve starting watching Outlander, but it’s really long and now on season 5 so not sure how long that will last.  CNN, MSNBC and even Fox are watched as well.   In addition we are doing everything we can to ensure everyone remains healthy and safe in our house.
During this time of global emergency, our house is still open and operating as usual.  OK, that’s a lie. my husband is at home.  He’s never at home.  I’ve already moved him to another location in the house.  He was in my space!  Retirement for him is coming soon.  Not sure that I’m ready.  This trial might actually help.   We are following the CDC and Department of Health safety and sanitization recommendations and the recommendations of public officials.  OK, that is also a lie.  Our house is usually picked up but I’m not very good at cleaning.  My daughter did get me a deep clean house cleaning for Christmas and we had that done about a month ago so it’s cleaner than it has been.
While social distancing is vital to slow the spread of Coronavirus and keep our communities safe, we know this will change how we live for a little while.  My husband is a college professor who after 40 years of teaching is now preparing his classes to be taught online.  This is not an easy task.  He’s probably working harder on this than if it was a regular week, and he works all the time anyway.  12 hour days are now 20 hour days.  My life, well it hasn’t changed a lot.  I don’t get to go out and eat lunch.  The golf course is still open and if it wasn’t 40 degrees outside I would probably be there.  I’m working on a photo project that I’ve been doing all winter.  I think I’m going to start some volunteering after this is over!  It seems I need to up my social interactions.
Please stay home, or if you must go out, utilize drive-thrus, takeout, or better yet use delivery or mobile options.  Be sure to wash your hands regularly.  Abide by the 6 foot distance between people rule.  Over the coming weeks, we’ll share alternative ways to stay connected.  Like I said the our house is open.  It is big, so social distancing is very easy to do.  Better yet sign up for a free exercise class.  There are many.  Take a virtual tour of a museum.  Learn a foreign language.  Listen to a famous singer play the guitar in their kitchen or their piano in their living rooms.  The internet has unlimited options.  If you have to work from home, be sure to get up and take a walk, play a game, have some fun.  If you are still going out to work, be safe.  Google party sounds fun!
The situation is changing rapidly, be safe and stay healthy.

Have you also noticed that all these letters are typed in a very small simple font.  Did they have a meeting to decide how to do this?  Just an observation.
