Northern light hunting-observation: after a one hour hunt we finally found them!

Come one. It’s purple. I can see it without using a camera. It’s closer than anything I saw while going to a dark spot outside of the city lights!

Pictures on social media, supposedly taken from the same spot I had been looked amazing. Really? This following picture is all I got. Yes, the sky is purple and there is a slight green glow at the bottom, but this was only through a phone lens. And with AI or any photo editing program I could make any sky purple and green.

Next time I’ll just go to Iceland!
